Mr.Singh has been working as the Director, SRC, ADRI, Ranchi. He has been working in the field of training, material development research and evaluation since last 8 years. He is involved in advocacy and alliance building both at state and local level. He is a regular columnist in local news paper on social issues. He has acquired special training on Participatory Rural Appraisal organised at SRC Jaipur for 7 days.

(ii)    Coordinator, Bhojpuri Vahini – an organisation of Bhojpuri youths
(iii)    General Secretary, Bhojpuri Development Council
(iv)    Associated with various Social and Cultural Institutions, viz. Indian Society of Labour Economics, Pragatishil Lekhak Sangha (Progressive Writers Association), IPTA etc.
(v)    Life Member of Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi.
(vi)    Life Member of Indian Adult Education Association, New Delhi.


Research Interests

Research & Evaluation

Conducted research and evaluation works which are part and parcel of SRC, ADRI with the following results
  • Impact of Literacy Campaign on Enrolment in Elementary Schools (2002-03).
  • Folk Language Dictionary – Collated, collected and edited for SRC,ADRI various words used in Maithili, Bhojpuri, Magahi and Angika, dialects of the state, which are commonly used in Hindi.
  • Dictionary for Neo-literates – Based on intensive research for finding out the cognitive needs of the neo-literate, collected and edited the words commonly used/understood by them were collected 1997-98.
  • Collected Speeches and Writings of Dr. S.K. Sinha, the first Chief Minister of Bihar, under the sponsorship of the Department of Culture in the Ministry of HRD, and submitted to the Ministry for publication in the title NAVA NIRMAN KI BELA.
  • Conducted evaluation studies to gauge the impacts of Total Literacy Campaign and needs of neo-literates in Continuing Education.
