The Asian Development Research Institute (ADRI), Patna, invites applications for the position of Research Associate – Digital Public Health and Health Systems.
The position is suited for candidates interested in working at the intersection of public health, technology, field implementation, and evidence-based policy research. The Research Associate will support large-scale research and implementation projects related to digital health systems, health surveillance, programme monitoring, and community-level public health interventions.
The role will involve extensive engagement with field operations, stakeholder coordination, implementation support, monitoring activities, and data collection processes across districts and communities.
Essential Qualifications
- Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in Public Health, Social Sciences, Statistics, Health Informatics, Development Studies, Data Science, Computer Applications, or a related field.
- Strong interest in public health systems, implementation research, and field-based policy work.
- Willingness to travel extensively for fieldwork and implementation activities.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas will be preferred:
- Field surveys and primary data collection
- Monitoring and evaluation of health programmes
- Digital data collection platforms such as SurveyCTO, ODK, KoboToolbox, etc.
- Coordination with government departments, health workers, and local stakeholders
- Training and supervision of field investigators
- Data management and quantitative analysis
- Public health implementation and community engagement
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support field implementation activities across project locations.
- Supervise data collection, monitoring, and quality assurance processes.
- Conduct field visits and stakeholder consultations.
- Assist in training enumerators and field teams.
- Support preparation of reports, presentations, and project documentation.
- Contribute to implementation research and operational coordination for digital public health initiatives.
- Liaise with government officials, partner organizations, and local institutions as required.

The remuneration will be competitive and aligned with UGC norms and fellowship structures offered by leading research and policy institutions in India, commensurate with qualifications, experience, technical expertise, field experience, and implementation skills.

Research Statement Format
