For the past 35 years, the Asian Development Research Institute (ADRI) has been embedded at the highest levels of policy research and system reform. We are excited to announce an intensive 2-week online program designed to elevate the analytical and research capabilities of aspiring professionals in governance, development, environment, public health and public administration. Participants will be provided with an internship certificate, and select candidates will be offered a paid internship opportunity for a duration ranging from 1 to 3 months.

What You Will Learn
The total course duration is 40 hours. The structure relies on six faculty members who each deliver a 6-hour block consisting of a 2-hour lecture, a 2-hour hands-on session, and 2 hours of assignment work.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

Articulate why rigorous research and data evidence are indispensable for effective governance, public health, and environmental policy making.

Distinguish qualitative and quantitative research approaches and apply each to real-world challenges in public policy, environmental systems and governance questions.

Collect, structure, and critically interrogate system level datasets including NFHS, HMIS, and IHME data, environmental monitoring datasets such as air quality, emission, emission inventory etc.

Understand AI/ML fundamentals and apply them responsibly to system challenges.
- ✓
Visualise field level geospatial health data using QGIS and ArcGIS to map disease burden, health facility access, pollution hotspots, and climate vulnerability.
