About Organization

The Centre for Studies on Environment and Climate Change (CSEC) at the Asian Development Research Institute (ADRI) is a research think-tank and an ENVIS Resource Partner, under the aegis of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, India. The Centre’s research majorly focuses on Water Resource Management, Air Quality Management, Climate Change and Vulnerability, Public Finance and Governance, and Resource Sustainability.

The Centre is looking for a qualified ‘Project Coordinator’ to carry out evidence-based policy research in the field of environment and climate change to develop scientific inferences from the public finance and environmental sustainability sectors.

Desired Qualification

Master’s degree in the field of Environment or Water or Climate Change or Development Studies or Public Policy or any equivalent discipline. 

Expected Engagement

  • Major involvement is expected to be in designing research methodology and generating scientific policy evidence for wider dissemination of relevant knowledge outcomes on green finance and public budgeting, with special reference to the implementation of the environmental sustainability initiatives;
  • Conduct monitoring and evaluation, data collection, data analysis, literature reviews, etc. for mapping the progress of the program implementation in contrast with the public budget and expenditure;
  • Developing interdisciplinary awareness and capacity-building toolkits on green finance and public budgeting for stakeholders like public institutions, corporates, students, civil society organizations, etc.;
  • Actively engage in liaising with different institutions/ organizations to gather data and other relevant information pertaining to the project requirements and to facilitate different scholarly events such workshops, training, conferences, etc.

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Experience of at least 2-3 years, working in the fields of public policy and governance, with a special focus on public finance and environment;
  • Professional understanding of program monitoring and evaluation, academic report writing like– articles, reports, project proposals, concept notes, policy briefs, etc., field investigation, data synthetization and interpretation, etc.;
  • Excellent project management, communication, presentation, interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
