Brief Profile:

Dr. Arpan Sharma is an Assistant Professor and Geospatial Scientist at the Asian Development Research Institute. He specializes in Geospatial Sciences and their applications in environment, public health, economics, and the social sciences. His work spans a range of interdisciplinary projects, including glacier and glacial lake assessment, infectious disease modelling, and night light studies. He earned his Master’s degree from Nalanda University and his PhD from Manipal. His current research interests focus on the post 2030 common development goals and the application of geospatial artificial intelligence in environmental and social science disciplines. Beyond academics, he is deeply interested in philosophies of consciousness and writes on the intersection of science and philosophy under the pen name Kaudinya Arpan.
