About ADRI EIACP Resource partner




In 2018, the Asian Development Research Institute (ADRI), Patna entered into a Memorandum of Cooperation with the MoEF&CC to establish an EIACP Programme Centre/Resource Partner on “Climate Change and Water Management”, at ADRI.

The Programme Centre is a repository of information, publications and other value-added products on its assigned subject area; maintaining database; conducting various events and activities across the year including mass awareness campaigns and events on Mission LiFE and SAP; conducting GSDP courses and capacity building programmes and other mandated activities as directed by MoEF&CC.

The primary objectives of this centre are as follows:

  • To develop database on different parameters relevant to water resources of India and climate change along with retrieval and dissemination capabilities.
  • To establish seamless information flow between MoEF&CC and states/districts onwater resources and climate change.
  • To conduct Green Skill Development Programme.
  • To engage in and promote the objectives of Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment).
  • To develop Grid Based Decision Support System (GRIDSS) for sustainable management of water resources.
  • To facilitate Community Driven Environmentally Sustainable Village Programme.
  • Prepare educational kits on environmental resource management.
  • Strengthen MIS and GIS data/information base.
  • To function as Decision Support System for Environmental Policy and Outcome/ Impact Valuation to MoEF&CC.
  • To help India achieve Sustainable Development Goals.
  • To act as Nationally Determined Contributor under the Paris Agreement/Other Climate Agreements.
  • To act as a repository of information and publish Knowledge Outcomes including Newsletters, Infographics, Policy Papers etc related to the mandates.
