Events of ADRI Patna
New Delhi. September 18-19. The Asian Development Research Institute (ADRI) participated in the ICC Global Business Summit 2026, held on September 18–19 at Taj Palace, New Delhi, under the theme “Reinventing Global Business: Growth, Risk & Resilience.” ADRI was represented by Ms. Sakshi Shubham, Programme Manager – Education & Capacity Building.
The two-day event brought together policymakers, government representatives, business leaders, investors and academics to discuss India’s economic priorities, global competitiveness, investment, technology, healthcare, environment, higher education and skilling, with particular emphasis on opportunities in eastern and north-eastern India.
The Invest Bihar – Bihar State Session featured presentation by Shri Kundan Kumar, IAS, Secretary, Department of Industries, Government of Bihar, and special address by Ms. Shreyasi Singh, Hon’ble Industry Minister, Government of Bihar, on Bihar’s industrial and investment priorities. Ms. Sakshi Shubham met with Ms. Singh and invited her to visit ADRI, highlighting the Institute’s established engagement with the Department of Industries, including through an existing Memorandum of Understanding, and provided an opportunity to discuss areas of mutual interest and future engagement.
The second day’s Higher Education & Skilling session explored skills for the AI and digital economy, industry–academia collaboration, faculty development, internships and public–private partnerships. Discussions emphasised the importance of creativity, critical thinking, innovation and early industry exposure in preparing students for a changing world of work.
The event provided ADRI with opportunities for stakeholder engagement and knowledge exchange across government, industry and academia, with discussions particularly relevant to its work in education, capacity building, institutional partnerships and evidence-based policy.
