Events of ADRI (Patna - Ranchi)
Patna, 21 March. Nobel Laureate Professor Abhijit Banerji was felicitated by Professor Prabhat P Ghosh, Director of Asian Development Research institute (ADRI) at his residence in Kolkata. The felicitation was done for delivering the first Shaibal Gupta memorial lecture on the birth anniversary of its founding member secretary Dr. Shaibal Gupta. During facilitation, Professor Ghosh was accompanied by Dr. Ashmita Gupta, faculty of ADRI and daughter of Dr. Gupta.
Professor Banerjee lauded ADRI for its continued efforts in nurturing a research culture in Bihar under very adverse circumstances. Remembering Dr. Shaibal Gupta, he mentioned that he was very passionate about Bihar and was extremely committed to its development. He mentioned that many of his colleagues, students, and other researchers from across the world would want to visit Bihar and work towards its development.
