Events of ADRI Patna
Patna. December 4. The series of lectures with the theme of Medicinal Plants: Natural Solutions for Clean Air, Healthy Lifestyle, and Wildlife Conservation and with support from the Government of India’s Ministry of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change (MoEFCC) continued today with EIACP-CSEC’s, Mausam Bahar, Gulshan Patel and Ms. Pooja Kumari at Taru Mitra.
EIACP-CSEC is hosted by the Asian Development Research Institute (ADRI) and was the organizer of this event.
Bahar pointed out the fact that thousands of liters of water are consumed when we use Artificial Intelligence (AI) for answering each and every question asked by us. So, we should use AI with discretion if we want to preserve our environment by conserving water.
Patel spoke about how it would be very wise to invest in greening of the rural areas of Bihar as well as the cities. This would help combat the shocking fact that 92 percent of the world’s population live in areas where the air quality exceeds the limits set by the World Health Organization. He said that Bihar’s developing cities should follow in the footsteps of the bio-reserve of Taru Mitra by creating similar green zones within their geographical areas. Ms. Kumari pointed out that the Insulin and the Candle-Stick medicinal plants can be used to control Diabetes and Ringworm infestation respectively. These plants are grown on the Taru Mitra campus and have been catalogued by EIACP.
About 30 pupils from St. M.G. Public School and S.R. Vidyapeeth-both from the area Mithapur of Patna – attended the event.
