Events of CHP
A one-day workshop on “Anti-Fraud and Quality Documentation” was organized for private empaneled hospitals under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme here today under the joint support of the Bihar Swasthya Suraksha Samiti (BSSS) and the Centre for Health Policy at Asian Development Research Institute (CHP–ADRI). Representatives from private empaneled hospitals, owner’s/proprietors, senior doctors, and healthcare experts from the districts of Bhagalpur, Banka, Begusarai, Jamui, Khagaria, Lakhisarai and Munger participated in the workshop.
The primary objective of the workshop was to strengthen anti-fraud measures for preventing abuse of the Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) scheme, reinforce quality documentation practices, and ensure compliance of hospitals with Standard Treatment Guidelines and Health Benefit Packages.
The workshop commenced with a Welcome Address and presentation of the objectives by Dr. Alok Ranjan, Director – Operations, BSSS. The Chief Guest was Dr. Ashok Kumar, Civil Surgeon, Bhagalpur.
Subsequently, the workshop was presided over by Mr. Shailesh Chandra Diwakar, Administrative Officer, BSSS, who delivered the Keynote Address on anti-fraud measures, informing participants about the essential steps for fraud prevention.
While participating in different sessions of the workshop, Dr. Gurinder Randhawa, Consultant, CHP–ADRI; and Dr. Alok Ranjan discussed fraud prevention, quality documentation, and case studies. Dr. Neeraj Kumar Singh, Director – Healthcare, BSSS; and Mr. Satyendra Kumar of CHP–ADRI held detailed discussions on protocol compliance to Standard Treatment Guidelines and Health Benefit Packages.
Furthermore, the District IDSP Cell and ADRI’s team educated the participants on use of the IHIP portal for real-time reporting.
In the final session, participants engaged in a Focus Group Discussion (FGD), where they exchanged suggestions on the challenges and solutions related to the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Suraj Shankar, Team Lead, Centre for Health Policy – ADRI (CHP–ADRI), who expressed his gratitude to all the participants and emphatically hoped that the suggestions received would help in effective implementation of the scheme and in strengthening of anti-fraud measures.
